big_kev Posted April 1, 2009 Report Posted April 1, 2009 Don't know if I am am 100% on this but I believe that under the new MOT's this year that number plates will be checked for legallity. ie you will no longer be allowed dodgy fonts, incorrect spacing, dodgy anti-speed camera backgrounds, football team logo's etc. Also the number plates supplier must have their details on the plate ( post 2001 vehicles only). I got mine for a tenner at a car boot  Anyone going to fail on this ? Quote
tiny Posted April 1, 2009 Report Posted April 1, 2009 http://www.dvla.gov.uk/media/pdf/leaflets/v796.pdf Thats an existing release on number plates, it quotes "May fail the MOT". Quote
gaznlou Posted April 1, 2009 Report Posted April 1, 2009 If it's done at a fully compliant Testing station, then yes they should fail. I know a MOT station, who fails all vehicles, which do not have the BSAU mark on the bottom of the plates.Gaz Quote
